About Me

Jay is a journalist currently based in Arlington, Virginia. He originates from West Haven, Connecticut graduating from West Haven High School in 2016. He graduated Cum Laude from Marist College in 2020 with a Political Science Major and Music and Journalism minors and from Northwestern University in 2021 with a Masters of Science in Editorial Journalism

At Northwestern University, he has covered the 2020 Election both from a local level in Connecticut and Albany, New York as well as a national level in Washington. He helped cover the appointment announcement of Judge Amy Coney Barrett, campaign rallies, and Congressional hearings. He was also featured on a podcast published by NPR for their annual non-voter survey.

Through Marist, he has travelled the globe studying international politics and interned with the federal government via the United States Small Business Administration. He also worked with the Marist Institute for Public Opinion as a Media Assistant and has been on the campaign trail during the 2020 Democratic New Hampshire primaries.

He is a video-game freelancer writer with articles in Gamelevate and stropsE. As an LCS correspondent for both sites, he has covered the North American League of Legends Championship Series, interviewed professional players and attended press conferences following championship matches. Most recently, he represented Gamelevate as their correspondent for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship virtually in Reykjavik, Iceland interviewing players and covering the day's games.

Jay hosted a weekly podcast known as The Election Show: A Podcast for the New Voter. His podcast covered basic civics to brand new and returning voters from the history of voting in America to race in America and an overview of the 2020 Election.
